TT’s Success Story
I want to share with everyone my brother’s success story.
My brother is 38 and has been diagnosed with autism and developmental disability. He cannot do most things for himself and has had a lot of issues throughout his life with his gait, posture, and balance, as well as being severely underweight.
I am absolutely astounded at the benefit that he has received from just 8 months of personal training sessions with Julie at S-Cape Fitness. My brother loves it and the results have been amazing!
Julie is able to adapt to his learning disability and work very well with him. She is extremely patient and very perceptive, keeping him from accidentally harming himself by watching him closely and reacting immediately. Julie also takes the time to understand his needs, and changes his routine often to keep his full attention. Although it can be difficult at times to hold his attention and work with his varied behavior, she never ceases to amaze me with her ability to keep him calm, cheerful and focused and having so much fun that fitness days have become his favorite outing.
There is definitely a science to what she does. She targets the right muscle combinations in such a way that we have seen very remarkable results. His balance has improved drastically, where he used to trip and fall very often, he now walks with ease. He is even able to do little things that we take for granted, such as waking backward and jumping, things that he has never been able to do before. His muscle development has strengthened his body and given him the weight that he desperately needed.
I have never considered a personal trainer as anything other than a workout buddy until now. Julie has shown me that there is so much more to having a personal trainer through her expertise and knowledge. She has a deep understanding of the human body and how the muscles work. What she does is amazing and I wish that I had found her for my brother sooner!
Angie’s Success Story
It was more than 5 years ago that I first started attending fitness classes at Scape. Little did I know the journey I would be taking over these past 5 years. My name is Angie Tichy, I am 52 years old, I am a nurse, a mother, grandmother and I am a breast cancer survivor.
When I first started classes I remember thinking that just the work outs would keep me from gaining weight, more weight than I already had since my younger years. After a while I discovered that maybe JT Agenor was right and I would have to do something about my poor eating habits so I signed up for the first fitness challenge. It was the beginning of great change in my life. In 12 weeks I lost about 30lbs and I felt better than ever. It was after the first fitness challenge that I noticed a lump in my breast. That is when my breast cancer was discovered and not by the mammograms that I had faithfully every year. Now the real challenge would begin….
First the diagnosing process, the waiting was the hardest part. Before I knew it I was telling JT that I would be taking a leave of absence from Scape, the place and people I had grown to love so much. My last day of class was the sweetest and the hardest as tears ran down my face as I left in my car that day. I was afraid of what was to come and yet I was determined that I would come back and be better than before. I had numerous surgeries, a bilateral mastectomy, re-construction, port placement then chemotherapy. All during this time I did my best to exercise. I would get my chemotherapy and then it would take days before I would feel strong enough to work out. I used to say that I was climbing out of the hole. For 9 long months this went on.
Finally, the day came that I was able to come back to Scape! What an incredible blessing! The only problem was I had gained 16lbs going through treatment for breast cancer. How does one gain weight through chemo? Well, it happens. So again, I had to look at the problem and that was my nutrition. JT had a quote hung on the wall and it said “You can’t out exercise a bad diet” I am here to tell you that is so, so true. It took me months to rebuild my muscle strength and my endurance. I had so many people at Scape who encouraged and inspired me to keep going. I watched others prepare to compete in a Natural Bodybuilding show and then I started to think, just maybe, I could do that too. So here I am today, a survivor, a thriver!
I am so thankful to God for putting the right people in my life to help me walk down the path of cancer and beyond. My husband, Tim who never left my side, and many others. Also, I often think that if not for JT and my experiences at Scape, I might not have found my breast cancer in time! For that I am eternally thankful!
Steve’s Success Story
Excluding a brief period in 2009, I’ve been overweight and out of shape my entire adult life. Over the years I’ve tried and failed at numerous fitness programs including home elliptical and treadmill machines, national gym programs and popular at home DVDs, include Tae Bo, P90X and Insanity. At the recommendation and encouragement of one of the Scape Fitness trainers, (Kim S.) I entered the Scape Fitness 12-week body challenge in January of 2012. Upon entering the challenge I weighed 240 lbs and had a body fat percentage that was literally off the chart. With the help and instruction of S-Cape staff I was taught how to eat and exercise correctly for the first time in my life. Many, if not all of the things I thought I knew about exercising, eating, nutrition and dieting were absolutely wrong. The trainers at Scape Fitness game me (as they do with all members) the personal attention, encouragement and more importantly the education to achieve quantifiable results. When the 12 week challenge ended I had lost 51 lbs, 21.5 inches and lowered my overall body fat percentage by 9%. As of today, I’m down nearly 60 lbs and in the best physical shape since graduating from high school in 1985…and I’m not done yet! The workouts are exceptionally fun and are geared to all fitness levels which for me was a key to my success, especially in the first few weeks. The trainers are regularly changing the workout routines which keeps me hooked to the programs and adding to my results. Thank you to Kim S. for getting me to the door and thank you to the entire staff at Scape Fitness for putting me on a path to a healthier lifestyle and challenging me everyday to push a little harder. Toni’s Success Story
My Name is Toni and I learned about S-Cape Fitness from my friend Chris, a current member. At first I was really skeptical. I have been a member of a local gym for years and worked out regularly. Years ago while in nursing school I gained about 40 pounds. I was able to lose 30 pounds on my own through diet and moderate exercise. I continued to moderate my diet and work out but my weight did not change; I had reached a plateau. I will admit that I was not doing any weight training. I was one of those females who believed that weights made you bigger not smaller. I was determined to get toned and to reach my goal weight so I sought professional help. My local gym began having personal training special and I decided to utilize this service. Long story short, I ended up using 3 different trainers in a year. I gave each one 3 months and followed their plans, but in the end saw very few results.
I went up to S-Cape Fitness after talking to Chris. When I met JT I was completely disgruntled, but he was very patient with me. I was given a tour and told all about the program. He invited me to try out a class and attending that class has really changed my life. The class was like nothing I expected. I assumed that since I had been working out for years and was very active the class would be easy. I was wrong.
Prior to beginning the program, I was given a complete body fat analysis. I knew I had weight to lose but did not realize how much body fat I had. Since I started the program I have lost inches, body fat, and weight. I have gained lean muscle, increased energy, and confidence. Out of all the programs and trainers that I have tried, S-Cape has given me the best results. Every work out pushes and challenges me. The workouts are never the same which keeps me motivated to continue with the program. I tell everyone I know about this program because I know it works. I have lost almost 10 lbs and over 10% body fat. You have to work for the results, but this program really works.

Chris’s Success Story
My name is Chris and I am a 51 year old female. I have belonged to a gym for years (a membership I rarely used) and thought I was fairly knowledgeable about nutrition and exercise. A friend suggested I stop in and talk with JT about starting classes at S-Cape. We sat down and discussed the correct way to fuel my body and what to do to help it recover after work-outs. We weighed and measured to find out my body fat percentage. WOW, was I out of shape!
Every workout at S-Cape has a focus and the great thing about it is that you can be a beginner or a veteran, both types of people will be challenged. The staff encouraged me and assured me my age had nothing to do with my ability to do this class. They are very conscious of correct form, not only to keep you from injury, but to get the most out of every exercise you do. There is NOTHING like this offered in the area… and so affordable!
Now people ask ME what I have done to get back into shape. To date, I have lost 10% body fat and 22lbs. Yes, you have to work to see results, but you are doing classes with people that have the same goals and with instructors that push you to perform to your best ability and push your limits. You are never too old or out of shape to come to S-Cape. If you want to change your body and become healthier, the staff here is smart and knowledgeable and will help you get there…. I promise.

Heather’s Success Story
I still remember the beautiful autumn day in September when I walked into the gym with a zipper-busting, muffin-topped belly. My life consisted of working long days and coming home too tired to make dinner for the family. We ate from boxes and cans most of the time. Through S-Cape Fitness, I have gone down four dress sizes! I have taken my body fat down 10% by losing over 15 pounds of fat. Through S-Cape Fitness, I realized that I needed to stop setting ‘weight loss’ goals and started setting ‘healthy lifestyle’ goals. My body and life has changed over the past year because of making health and fitness a priority by following the S-Cape boot camp program! I am glad to say that I am no longer an ‘emotional eater’. Now, I use food as fuel as emphasized to me by the staff of S-Cape. I have more energy and enjoy making exercise a priority with the family. As a working wife and mother of four, finding time to exercise is a challenge and doing it on my own was okay, but I only saw the extreme results when I was pushed to my limits by the instructors of S-Cape Fitness.
I am in the best shape of my life physically, mentally, and spiritually! As a celebration of such success, I participated in the Mrs. Nebraska-America Pageant, something I would not have done without the help of this magnificent program! I owe my thanks to S-Cape Fitness!
Vicky’s Success Story
I have tried for years to lose weight and for the last 14 years I have been 200+ lbs due to a stroke and medication I had to take and then I quit smoking and that added more weight. I didn’t like going out because I was embarrassed on how I looked and I was always so uncomfortable when I would go out. I always wore big clothes to hide myself.
My last doctor apt, he told me I was pre diabetic and my cholesterol was high, this made me think, is this the way I want to live. My Father and Grandmother had diabetes and I watched what they had to go through and that was something I did not care to repeat. Also, I knew exercising would help with the eliminating the pre diabetes and help with the high cholesterol and chronic pain I had from the stroke.
So the obvious thing was to work on getting healthy. I had heard of bootcamps and thought that might be something to try, since I have tried about everything else. Once I moved back to Nebraska, I searched the internet for bootcamps and the best thing that ever happened to me is I found: S-Cape Fitness. I went in to sign up for class and when I went in I saw there was a challenge which also included Nutritional consultation and many other classes. Nutrition was something I really needed help with. So I thought I would give it a try and signed up for the challenge.
The first day of class terrified me all I could think is what if I can’t do this or what if I make a fool of myself and what will everyone think. That thinking was very short lived. I can’t say the first day was easy, but the instructor and the others in the class, made me feel comfortable and they all were very supportive, that was such a relief for me and made me want to come back.
After the first month, I was feeling good about myself with sticking to this routine and learning to eat correctly. Julie would review my meal logs for the week and we would discuss what I was eating and she would answer any questions I had. I also felt good with what I was doing. The second month, I was so happy with my results. At this time, I removed half my closet and I was getting new jeans about every 2 to 3 weeks or wearing the jeans that I had kept for years thinking someday I will get into these. I was feeling better and better each day.
The third month, everyone around me was really seeing the weight loss. I finally started seeing the change in my body; I could always feel it but didn’t really see it like everyone else did. I like going out now and I’m not embarrassed to be seen and I don’t have to wear clothes that hide me. What a great feeling that is. I’m so determine now to work harder and harder, now that I know what I can accomplish. This really works but it takes a lot of hard work, in the long run it’s all worth it. I highly recommend S-Cape Fitness. Yes there are a lot of other workout programs out there but the reason this one is different is that you have a staff who actual care and want to see you accomplish your goals. Yes I did the work, but the staff at S-Cape was there every step of the way with encouragement, guidance and they held me accountable.

Sandie’s Success Story
I am a grandmother of seven and a mother of six and I am in my late sixties. For the last year I have been attending S-Cape Fitness classes. This program has helped me so much; the inches the weight and the body fat have been consistently coming off. I have lost over 30 pounds off the scale and over 34 pounds of FAT! Also, my energy level has improved greatly. I look forward to each class because I am pushed to the best of my abilities.
